WW1 Battlefield Tour Options
First World War Tours can be arranged throughout the year.
Three day (two night) or four day (three night) World War One battlefield tours are available, as are longer trips which could include other important sites of the Great War.
I have a set itinerary but can willingly tailor it to suit particular interests - my four day itinerary can be seen below.
By arrangement your battlefield tour can start in the Kent towns of Faversham or Dover (other pre-arranged pick up points may be possible). This bespoke trip will be an ideal opportunity for you and your family or friends to visit some of the most historically important World War One and Somme battlefield sites.
Places in the Somme that can be visited include Serre, Auchonvillers, Hawthorn Crater, the preserved battlefield at Beamont Hamel, The Ulster Memorial, Thiepval, Ovillers, Mouquet Farm, Pozieres, La Boisselle, Fricourt, Mametz, High Wood, Deville Wood (Longueval), Albert, Guillemont, Villers Bretonneux (the Australian memorial), Le Hamel and Baron Von Richthoven's crash site.
Sites in Flanders that we visit include Passchendaele,Tyne Cot, Zonnebeke, Zillebeke (Hill 60 and the Caterpillar Crater) , Polygon Wood and Ypres (Menin Gate Ceremony).
Battles of Artois sites that can be visited include Vimy Ridge (Canadian Memorial Park), La Targette, Notre Dame de Lorette (French Memorial), Tunnels in and around Arras, the German World War I Cemetery in Neuville St. Vaast and the monastery at Mont St Eloi.
